When you register with Postage Refund. We may collect information such as your name, phone number, email address, credit card credentials and carrier account credentials. We limit the collection, use and disclosure of personal information to that required to provide the services.

Postage Refund may use cookies or other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons to collect information from your computer and browser such as your IP address, software and hardware attributes, and information about how you have navigated through and used the site.

You may visit the site with your cookies turned off. However, you may not be able to access all areas or features of our site. A cookie is transferred to your browser by a Web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. Cookies do not reveal personal information. The only information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself such as passwords, purchases and preferences. Cookies cannot read data from your hard drive.

USE OF INFORMATION

Postage Refund will only use information collected to provide and improve our services, content and advertising.

The personal and carrier information we collect is used to develop and deliver Postage Refund services and customer support. For example, to audit carrier accounts, process refunds, generate invoices, send refund notices and administrative messages.

Communications sent to you to support your Postage Refund services are required in order for us to provide the service to you, therefore you cannot opt out from receiving them.

You may also receive Postage Refund communications not directly related to the service. If you don’t want to receive these communications, you may opt out of receiving them by following the unsubscribe instructions.

Information collected by cookies is used to tailor our site to the needs and interests of our visitors, and to improve our services, marketing and advertising.

IP address information may be used to identify a specific user. This is done to enforce compliance with our terms and conditions of use or to protect our service, site, or customers.

Postage Refund may disclose information if required to by law or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

If Postage Refund is acquired by or merged with another company Postage Refund will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

FEES, PAYMENTS AND TAXES

There is no charge for the Services until such time as a refund identified and submitted by the Service has been approved by the shipping carrier. Postage Refund will charge the user an agreed percentage of the refund amount confirmed by the shipping carrier. Charges will be billed in Canadian Dollars and are subject to Canadian taxes. The user consents to automatic payments being taken from the credit card on file for that user at two weekly intervals if any fees are due.

It is the user’s responsibility to keep Postage Refund informed of changes to the billing information (e.g. credit card details).Postage Refund reserves the right at any time to modify the fees, payment method and Terms. You will be given reasonable advance notice and the opportunity to cancel your membership before such changes are due to be imposed.

SECURITY, CONFIDENTIALITY AND DISCLOSURE

Your personal information is secure from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Postage Refund have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our legal obligations to protect personal information about you.

SMC uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), OAuth2.0 and other software protocols to encrypt and protect personal information during transmission.

Stripe is used to collect your payment credentials and manage your payments. This ensures that we never see or store any sensitive payment information. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 the most stringent level of certification in the payments industry.

Postage Refund has security measures in place within its database and physical facilities to protect personal and business data against loss or misuse.

Postage Refund will not disclose your personal information to any organization or person for any reason except for providing the Postage Refund services. Third parties who work with us and need access to your information in order to provide the Postage Refund service are required to keep your information confidential.

Postage Refund does not collect, use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations.

UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

You are responsible for all activities occurring under your User Account and shall abide by all applicable local, provincial, state, national and foreign laws, treaties and regulations in connection with your use of the Services, including those related to data privacy, international communications and the transmission of technical or personal data. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password and all other sensitive, confidential or proprietary information relating to or used in connection with your User Account. You are responsible for all activities that occur with your User Account and you agree to notify Postage Refund immediately of any unauthorized use of your User Account. Postage Refund is in no way responsible for any loss or damage to you or to any third party incurred as a result of any unauthorized access and/or use of your User Account, or otherwise.
