How secure is Postage Refund?

Postage Refund uses best practices when protecting your data. Part of these best practices include following the same stringent safety standards that banks follow for their online security. Postage Refund servers and databases are hosted on Amazon’s Web Services platform. All sensitive information is encrypted and stored securely.

Why do you need my login credentials?

Our system uses your login information to “read” your shipments from your shipping carrier. This enables Postage Refund to track and request refunds for your shipments securely and automatically.

If someone does steal my Postage Refund login credentials, can they access my shipping accounts or credit cards on file?

No. Your Postage Refund log in and our website provides access to “read only” information regarding your shipping accounts and that “read only” access does not include sensitive data like your shipping account credentials or credit card number.

Is there any contract or obligation?

There is no contract or no obligation. If at any time you want us to stop auditing your shipments, just tell us to stop. This is a totally risk-free offer.

Will this affect my carrier relationship in any way?

No, the agreement made to you by Canada Post includes an on-time delivery guarantee. If this is not met, they promise to refund your shipping costs. You are not receiving any extra benefits. This is part of their commitment to you for using their services.

How does Postage Refund get paid?

Postage Refund offers the service free of charge for the first refund we collect for you. After that, Postage Refund simply charge a flat 30%-50% of what we recover for you, which will be billed bi-weekly to your credit card. Every other analytics and tracking feature that we offer comes with no cost to you.

How do I close my account?

In the event that you wish to close your Postage Refund account, Please email our customer support at admin@postagerefund.ca. Once your account is closed, your data will be removed from our servers and you will stop receiving refunds for late shipments.

Why don’t I just claim my own refunds?

The services offered by carriers provide little help in identifying and claiming late shipment refunds. If you have ever tried to claim a refund you will appreciate how difficult and time-consuming it is to do this. Even for small business it takes many hours to search for late shipment and later file refunds for them. And if you miss the claim submission deadline you can’t claim the refunds later. Canada Post deadline is 30 business days of the guaranteed delivery date. Postage Refund software track every package and find shipments that are eligible for refund.

Does every late package get a refund?

No. There are some reasons that a late package would not be eligible for a refund. The most common reason a late package would fail to receive a refund is because of weather related delays. We do our best to make sure every late package gets a refund, but even we have to follow the shipping carrier refund claim policy.

How long does it take to get a refund?

It usually takes around 2 to 3 weeks to receive your refund and to reflect on your invoices

Does every late package get a refund?

Customer often won’t complain when shipments are a little late (1-2 days) so this not a good indication of your eligibility for refunds. And of course your carrier won’t tell you either. Postage Refund will track all the late shipments and claims every refund you are entitled to.

Does Postage Refund have an affiliate program?

Yes, we do have an affiliate program for businesses that have existing relationships with parcel shippers. Contact us at admin@postagerefund.ca. Our affiliates receive a percentage of the commission earned from the customers they bring to us. We provide marketing support, tools and advanced system integrations.
